Akita Minami High School presents new possibilities for contest from the pen of Masamicz Amano in this CD filled with his attractive new wind music. This is the first memorable recording at Amano’s alma mater, Akita Minami High School.
This is the third collection of Masamicz Amano, internationally respected composer. His previous issues have become big sellers, appreciated by all generations. This CD expands his unique world beyond last and will make him even more popular. An exemplary collection, quite possibly his best album yet. The most interesting work is “Bugaku”, which performers also enjoy because of its simple composition and high degree of performance effect. About the recording, the repertoire is well balanced and agreeable to the band, especially considering the connection that Mr. Amano is an alumnus. We are very proud with the completion of this project.
