The BCL Series, created for a return to the nostalgic masterpieces of the ‘60s, '70s and ‘80s, is presented with the very contemporary sound of the Hiroshima Wind Orchestra and series conductor Yoshihiro Kimura.

This edition includes two early works from A. Reed, who regrettably passed away last year: “A Festival Prelude” and “A Little Concert Suite”. “A Festival Prelude” was a test piece for the 1970 All Japan Band Competition and is still a tasteful masterpiece for the new century. Another great title, “Fantasy Variations on a Theme by Niccolo Paganini" (Burns) is relatively new from 1989, but is certainly underperformed considering its high quality of composition.
