Premiered by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra on their first DVD project, this strong and effective work is built upon three old Irish songs: a traditional march of slower 6/8 beat with characteristically accented drum and drone bagpipes ringing through, a beautiful and nostalgic air featuring solo piccolo, and a relentless flying reel of duple and 6/8 meters building to a bold conclusion.
